Dime Lines: Windows

March 29, 2008

Eyes

The color of my birthstone,
Sagittarius
Tint sometimes varies, shade sometime various

Pools of caramel
Round like parasail’s
Starin’ hypnotized like rides on carousels

Windows to her soul are bronze and goldenrod
Eyes are honest no mirage or some facade

Half closed when she smiles
Matches how she styles
Tears of joy looks like sunset on the Nile

Damn it’s wild

Even in Shades, she amazes
The hue is like maize, a dusty haze with grays
Like adobe clays set ablaze in Santa Fe

Dances like Ballets,
Sun ray bouquets
Like a cinnamon soufflé
Little sprays of beige
It’s hard to paraphrase what her gaze conveys

I could stare at them for days…

The only thing I regret?
She hasn’t used those eyes to look at me yet :(
